Hush is a UK based artist who officially showed his work for the first time in NYC earlier this week at an old church on the Lower East Side of Manhattan. In connection with the show, he did a handful of outdoor pieces, including a few rooftops. You can read about it here.
Deus Ex Machina is an Australian based group that builds motorcycles, bikes, shapes surfboards, and basically everything else that is cool. They recently teamed up with Saturdays Surf Shop in SoHo, to exhibit a recently published book featuring photos of some of the custom motorcycles they have built. The French candle makers Cire Trudon (est. 1643) chose NYC to open their first American retail location. I covered the preview for Selectism. The candles smell as beautiful as the store looks. Definitely check it out.
The Mercer St. Location of Rag & Bone recently hosted a launch even for the collaboration with Timberland Boots. I was there covering the event for HS. Jeff Staple and Terry Kennedy were a few of the guests in attendance.
